Stella Maris is a game designer, illustrator and writer. She began working on the mobile game Magic Guardians for Tapps Games as an editor and translator (English-Portuguese), and soon after as a game narrative writer for an episode for the game Dear Diary in 2016. In the same year she also developed the narrative and game design for a short experience for the Immersive Hack AR/VR Hackathon in Sydney, Australia, and in 2017 for VRE6 Workshop for Academy Xi, also in Sydney. Both projects contemplated solving problems in children's education using augmented and virtual reality. During her time in Sydney, she worked mainly as a graphic designer at Ensemble Consulting Group, until she moved back to Brazil and kept working as a graphic designer and illustrator for ElevenChimps for two years (January 2018 to 2020). In 2018 she created a game using Twine for a workshop at the Goethe Institute under the tutele of game designer Anja Riedeberger. In 2020 she participated in GameJam XBox, promoted by Microsoft and Loud Noises, a Brazilian game company. She also wrote a script for a VR animation for a cultural experiencie at Oi Futuro Institute through Venturion.
From May 2019 to May 2022 she worked as a game designer and writer for Loud Noises, a Brazilian indie game company, in projects such as GAEMS10 (a collection of minigames), Silkcity (a fashion adventure story based open world), Xaxadoware (a collection of micro-games based on folklore nordestino) and a new level design for the minigames TumbaDelivery and Headblaster. She teaches at Hey Ho Easy English. From August 2022 and April 2023 she worked as a UI Analyst for Catho Online, supervising and reviewing the design system, creating new screens for desktop, web mobile and app, illustrations and conducting design critiques with her team.
In July 2022 Stella Maris published her first book through Giostri Editora, a collection of short stories about São Paulo titled Paisagens Cruéis, soon to be translated to English.
